I recommend Fort Mtn or Stanley with the leaf drop - crazy man! (ta-da!) Windy Gap is also a rude customer....

+1

I listen carefully to my MTB as noises usually mean something is about to fail.

+1, but I've come too close to losing a finger in my spokes trying to remove a leaf. Leave the trail with the same amount of digits that you had going in.

I like when the leaves get really thick, like a king size mattress out on the trail, and cover up big boulders and sticks so bounce off everything plowing down.So the answer to your question is Yes.......it's just you

I like riding in the leaves, but one of my bikes is really bad about catching leaves in the rear triangle so I try not to ride that bike in the fall because it drives me crazy.

Riding down Lance Creek is quite a challange after a big leaf drop.

Who'd put a bunch of friggin leaves on a mtb trail anyway?

The leaves won't be a big subject until Blankets gets closed down because of the freeze-thaw.

Advice:if one is racing the SCGTT...ride in the as much deep leaves as possible between now and then. Oh, and rocks too.

Its the woods.. Next will be rocks, logs, and creeks. We call that the Silver Comet.

That is all

Leaves stuck in the frame annoy me, but I love the leaf-covered trails.

or does riding through crispy leaf covered trails annoy anyone else? It was the only non enjoyable part of today's ride.

It is bad enough that they are loud as hell riding through but just when I get sort of used to that a single leaf will
lodge itself between the fork or frame and my tires. For some reason that sound just drives me nuts. If I can not get it out while riding I have stop to remove it.

Maybe I need to take the MP3 player when I ride this time of year. Or I could just go clear away the damn things.

Pretty sure it's just you dude. :)

Don't think I was crying about leaves, just annoyed with the noise.

I really didn't think this topic would have generated so many harsh responses.

The sound doesn't bother me. I love riding in the fall. However - leaves covering a trail I never ridden before makes things interesting.
