NORCROSS, GA – September 8, 2009. Blue Competition Cycles, a leading manufacturer of high-performance bicycles, announced today they will donate $100 to the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) and the Southern Off Road Bicycle Association (SORBA) for each Blue mountain bike sold during the next year. The funds will primarily be used to create and maintain riding trails.
“We are pleased to get such generous support from Blue,” said IMBA-SORBA Executive Director and IMBA regional director Tom Sauret. “Their commitment goes far beyond building great mountain bikes. They are mountain bikers themselves and have been involved in our sport for many years. This money will be put to good use, primarily to establish new trails to support the growth of mountain biking.”
“We love mountain biking and I can think of no better way to show it than by supporting IMBA-SORBA in their efforts to open new trails,” said Chance Regina of Blue Competition Cycles. “The timing is perfect because we just introduced a new all-carbon-fiber, hard tail mountain bike called the XC2 to go along with the Ryno, our full-suspension bike launched in 2009. We are proud to work with such a great organization on such an important project,” Regina continued. “Their hard work has created a great environment for mountain bikers and we want to be sure that work continues.”
The program begins immediately and will continue for the next 12 months.
